CALL TO ORDER
The meeting of April 6, 2004, was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chair Martha Devine.

Barbara announced her Radio Show and progress on the '3 Strikes' reform campaign. Martha announced a meeting of the Tenants Union. Martha also requested review of the consensus process. Seer said the Committee for Peace thanked the Green Party for the $100 sponsorship. Bodie said Ponche will be playing at Six Rivers Brewery - Eureka on April 17.
April 9th is the deadline for platform planks to be considered.
Treasurer's Report: The cash box is not available, after refunds the account balance is $284.25; $169.25 if delegate fees for the GPCA Plenary are paid. Steering: There was a drop from the Peace March. Martha asked if there will be any merchandise and if so who is in charge of the merchandise. Does the Green Party have any mailings scheduled? Upcoming tabling events include the Summer Arts Festival in June (Mateel/Benbow), Arcata Pride also in June, the Earth Day Festival and the Renewable Energy Fair. Media: Barbara requested a separate (face-to-face) media meeting (Martha seconded the motion). Bodie spoke in favor of meeting online. The Independent ran an old ad for the Arcata Local, Bodie to email Paul Encimer. Green Genes: 3,500 Signatures gathered, need average of 300 more per week to reach goal of 7,000 by July. Will be at the Farm Bureau Meeting 4/23. Veterans for Peace offered support and $200 donation. We will be collecting signatures at the Farmer's Market for the entire season. UCB film student will come to record (Public access). June 3rd thru 9th Biotech Events in SF Bay Area. Received endorsement from the North Coast Growers Association. Bylaws: Angela resigned as Bylaws chair, Martha to act as Liaison to the Bylaws Committee.
The next General Assembly for the GPHC will be on May 8th at the Teen Center. The order of meeting will be business first, followed by a video regarding Percy Schmeiser and a potluck. An inquiry about a video projector will be put in to Action Rental in McKinleyville. The cost of the Teen Center is $100 total for 4 hours, and $15 each additional hour. The Steering Committee will present any vacancies to the General Assembly. Robert Especiale may be subject to replacement if unable to meet attendance requirements. Seer suggested bimonthly GA meetings in the future. Barbara will report on the past GPCA Plenary and Elections/Campaign issues.
Barbara volunteered to be a delegate; a bus and compensation may be available; Bodie read an announcement from the GPCA that indicated Humboldt is allocated four delegates that must be determined by the end of April, June 5/6 training attendance is "strongly suggested" for all 132 GPCA delegates.
The withdrawal of resignations is to be put to the General Assembly, with individuals to pursue mediation.
