CALL TO ORDER

The meeting of October 5, 2004, was called to order at 7:15 pm by Secretary Mike Cordova (in the absence of interim Chair Martha Devine).

  1. INTRODUCTIONS
  2. APPROVAL OF MEETING RECORD

    3. MOTION WAS MADE (Douglas/Allen) to approve the meeting record of September 7, 2004, as submitted. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

  3. SPECIAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY (GA)

    4. MOTION WAS MADE (Allen/Cordova) to reschedule the GA to October 18 at 7PM with Barb, Harmony, Charles, and Greg each taking responsibility for notifying individual media outlets of the change.
    MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

  4. ELECTION OF CHAIR

    5. Item tabled until the next meeting pending Martha's resignation.

  5. WEBSITE AND LISTSERV

    6. Access and further development are pending response from GPCA.

  6. TREASURER'S REPORT

    7. MOTION WAS MADE (Shults/Douglas) to delegate Barbara to: 1) send to Seer Snively a certified letter requesting the return of all Treasurer's materials and account access codes and, 2) submit a draft police report to the Steering Committee for possible approval. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
    Martha has not yet secured the Treasurer's requested PO Box changes.

  7. ELECTION COMMITTEE

    8. Charles will post a voter guide produced by the Elections Committee for SC review. We promote Green candidates!

  8. ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS

    9. MOTION WAS MADE (Douglas/Cordova) to change our next meeting to Friday, November 05, 2004 in Arcata at 7pm. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

  9. APPOINTMENT VS. ELECTION

    10. MOTION WAS MADE (Douglas/Cordova) to authorize Charles to communicate to the Arcata City Council the SC position in favor of election. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

  10. ANNOUNCEMENTS

    11. Barbara's Animal Advocate show continues to air on the second Thursday on KMUD.
