If you want to vote in an election - whether for city council, school board, governor, or president - you must register to vote first.
You can pick up a Voter Registration form at any US post office, California Department of Motor Vehicles, or other governmental offices.
To have a voter registration form mailed to you, call 1-800-345-VOTE (English) or 1-800-232-VOTA (Spanish).
You can download a Voter Registration form in English or in Spanish, print it out and mail it to your registrar of voters. You'll need the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the form. Remember to write "Green Party" into box 7.
Or you can fill out a Voter Registration form online.
Deadline to register for June 3 elections: May 19.
Deadline to register for November 4: October 20.
- Registering Green is a way of 'voting' for the kind of world you want. Join a party that stands for your values, instead of one that is the 'lesser of evils'.
- Registering Green makes a clear and effective political statement. The more people who register Green, the stronger the Green Party will be, and the more all parties will take green issues and green voters seriously.
- Registering Green does not limit your voting options in the general election. Since you can vote for any candidate, choosing a party is really about what you believe in.
